Items of Interest:
* 24 Dec 2017 - today is the first time we have spotted the Pale Triangle here at Claire Cottage on the Dorrigo Plateau. It has taken many years to observe and finally photograph the adult butterfly here. However we have not found its larva on our small Melodorum vines which is something we hope for in the future.
* When feeding the Pale Triangle is less nervous then the Blue Triangle making it easier to photograph.
* Kelvyn Dunn is of the opinion that the Pale Triangle may not breed at Claire Cottage's altitude of 800 metres. However we will continue increasing the number of their juvenile slow growing food plant vines Melodorum leichhardtii that we have introduced to our property (currently 8) hoping the Pale Triangle will eventually be encouraged to breed here.
* 2021 sightings (23/1,30/1) whilst working on the property hence no photos. Both sightings feeding on ground level flowers, Rubus rosifolus & the daisy like exotic flowers of *feverfew. (see next dot point).
* 2021 a third sighting in our butterfly garden on 31/01/21 - took many photos hopefully some will be of sufficient value to place on our website page.
