Green (Walker's) Grass-dart Ocybadistes walkeri

Larval Food Plants:
Native grasses Cynodon dactylon (Couch), Imperata cylindrica (Blady Grass), and introduced grasses including *Erharta and *Paspalum
Identifying small Skipper species from photos can be very difficult. Great care is required to correctly identify the following two, very similar, common species;
Walkers (Green) Grass Dart - Ocybadistes walkeri and the Common (Narrow-brand) Grass Dart - Ocybadistes flavovittatus.
Other similar species which may possibly be found on the Dorrigo Plateau and could prove difficult to identify are; White-margined Grass Dart - Ocybadistes hypomeloma, Small Yellow Grass Dart - Taractrocera dolon, White-banded Grass Dart - Taractrocera papyria, Wide-brand Grass Dart - Suniana sunias and Dingy Grass Dart - Suniana lascivia.
