One of the most commonly seen butterflies although they are fairly small and insignificant looking. The sun brings out the blue on the males' wings but the females have far less blue and often appear plain brown.
We have seen so many of these butterflies on patches of clover at Griffiths Lookout that we feared treading on them.
Larvae occasionally attended by ants.
