Larval Food Plants: Native Oxalis sp. pictured above.
We think our native Oxalis here at Claire Cottage is O. perennans but have yet to make a positive identification.
Both males and females of this copper coloured member of the Blues family lack any blue colouring on their wings, upper or under side. Instead their wings have two shades of copper colouring on the upperside and a mixture of whitish grey with two copper spots on their undersides.
Larva are attended by ants.
