Distribution:
  NT, QLD, NSW & VIC

Sighted at Claire Cottage: between November & December.

We have found this moth at Claire Cottage on the Dorrigo Plateau.

Distribution:  NT, QLD, NSW & VIC

Moth Sightings:  
  • DORRIGO PLATEAU: Nov 2018, 2020 (22.00);  Dec 2018 (3.45);           
  • ELSEWHERE:  No sighting to date

Larva Sightings: 
  • DORRIGO PLATEAU:  None
  • ELSEWHERE:  None

Larval food plants:
  • DORRIGO PLATEAU: thought to be Convolvulaceae:  Ipomoea batatas (Sweet Potato)*,
  • ELSEWHERE:  as for Dorrigo Plateau
 
Breeding season on the Dorrigo Plateau:  Thought to be September to April

Adult Moth:  Size at rest - tip of thorax to tip of forewing: 60mm
Adult Moth:  Size forewing tip to forewing tip: 55mm .
This moth is identifiable from Agrius convolvuli by the lack of  pink horizontal stripes on its body.
Caudal Horn



Flight habit: Nocturnal - Active at night.
Time to light - Dec 2018-between 22.00 & 03.45am.
