Distribution: North-Western WA, Northern NT, FNQ and south along the coast through QLD, NSW to northern tip of VIC.
Sighted at Claire Cottage: between November & February.

Breeding season on the Dorrigo Plateau: Thought to be September to April
Flight habit: Nocturnal - Active at night.
Adult Moth: Colour ranges from brown to grey;
Size at rest - tip of thorax to tip of either forewing: 49mm; tip of forewing horizontally to tip of other forewing: ??mm
Mature larva: length - ??mm.
Colour form: Final instar: Green form & a Brown form.

ID Aid for the two Acosmeryx species seen in Dorrigo, Acosmeryx miskini and Acosmeryx cinnamomea.
Acosmeryx miskini has black or dark brown abdominal markings, Acosmeryx cinnamomea lacks them.
Acosmeryx miskini has a grey to light grey overall appearance. Acosmeryx cinnamomea comes in various shades of brown.
Acosmeryx miskini has blackish to dark brown hindwings rather than reddish brown as A. cinnamomea & A. anceus have.

- ELSEWHERE: (as for Dorrigo Plateau plus) VITACEAE - Cayratia acris, Cissus adnata (heart leaved grape)
